"Trapped Lung" A Rare yet Common Phenomenon









 This 50 years young Type 2 Diabetic male admitted in endocrine ward with diabetic foot, on routine examination shows encysted effusion thought no definite chest symptoms are present,on pleural fluid study revealed empyema so ICD done,But after 2 weeks of ICD lung still not expanded due to plueral thickening and diagnosed as TRAPPED LUNG. He also has broncho pleural fistula (BPF) . Here some beautiful CT and X Ray images are given.
