This patient attended our OPD ,with spontaneous removal of ICD which was put on some other hospital, and he already completed ATT for 9 months...
From this x ray we noticed some pancreatic calcification and diagnosed him as a case of diabetes mellitus. Which was proven with later HbA1C and fasting blood glucose and put on
anti - diabetics.
X ray shows - right sider pyopneumothorax with ICD in situ with fibrosis with right sided non homogeneous opacity ( post tb broncheactasis) with fibrotic strands with pancreatic CALCIFICATION.
NOTE - Keep your eyes open , In a country like India you can diagnose DIABETES from X- Ray in chronic neglected patient.
